Sue Carroll Donham 1933 - 2023

Sue Carroll Donham, 89, returned home to the Heavenly Father and took her place once again by her husband on April 27, 2023, in Stafford. She was born on Aug. 30, 1933, to Virgil and Maybird (Morris) Russell. She married her one true love, Lloyd Donham on July 10, 1954, in Wichita. He died Feb. 18, 2015. 

A longtime resident of Otis. Sue was a housewife, while the children were young. Sue worked at Fuller Brush Corporation on the pick line. She previously worked at Superior Essex as a quality controller. Sue was a foodie and she loved to cook. She enjoyed being outside and working with her flowers. Sue loved to shop and find bargains.

Survivors include her son, Michael Donham and wife Lee Ann, of Evansville, Ind.; her daughter, Jenny Shelton and husband, Jason Shelton of Stafford; six grandchildren, Lance Donham and finance, Tiffany Heape of Ellinwood, Austin McGinnes and finance, Morgan Blackim of Hutchinson, Janae Donham of Great Bend, Jarod Shelton of Stafford, Jena Shelton and finance, Cole Smith of Stafford, Trista Shelton of Stafford; and five great grandchildren, Mya and Wesley Donham, Jensyn and Caisyn Smith and Aidyn McGinnes. Also surviving her is her sister-in-law, Valerie Donham of Wichita, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Hillcrest Cemetery 22 NW 50rd in Great Bend, with Pastor Jeff Lowther presiding. In lieu of flowers memorials have been designated to Stafford County Hospital and Aster Estates Assisted Living in care of Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
