Thomas Roger ‘Tom’ Turley, 69, passed away July 8, 2026, at The University of Kansas Health Systems – ER, Great Bend, Kan. He was born on Nov. 17, 1956, in Great Bend, Kan., to Bruce and Hazel (Ward) Turley.

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Tom worked in the street department for the City of Great Bend from October 1980 until his retirement in August 2018. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and spending time with family.

Survivors include brother, Darrell Turley of Great Bend; two sisters, Phyllis Minet and husband Greg of Ocala, Fla., and Saundra Turley of Great Bend; two nieces; six nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steven R. ‘Steve’ Turley, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Turley.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Chaplain Nick Miller presiding. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, with family receiving guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home.
