ELLINWOOD — Wanda Carol Dannebohm, 79, died Sept. 5 at Leisure Homestead, St. John. Born May 21, 1935 at Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Finis and Mildred (Hoefer) Woolery.
Wanda married Richard Achatz on Jan. 15, 1959, in Salina. He died in May, 1984. She then married Don Dannebohm Sept. 2, 1988 at Great Bend. He survives. Wanda had been a waitress for various area restaurants and a secretary for Silica Grain.
Mrs. Dannebohm was a long time Ellinwood resident and a member of First Baptist Church, Ellinwood, the Odin Saddle Club, and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Dannebohm, of the home; daughter Brenda Arnold Wichita; two sisters: Trudy Helsel, Goddard, and Doris Harms, Wichita; two step sons: Roger Dannebohm, Great Bend and Steve Dannebohm, Ellinwood; step daughter Cindy Dannebohm, Ellinwood; and 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Woolery, and two sisters, Dee Hapes and Linda Schrag.
Graveside service will be Monday, Sept. 8, at 3:30 p.m. at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood with Pastor Jeremy Dannebohm officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 7, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home.
