Defending champion Pawnee Heights loses 55-38

WESKAN 55, PAWNEE HEIGHTS 38

WESKAN — Weskan raced past defending champion Pawnee Heights 55-38 in Friday's 6-man state semifinal football game. Tiger tailback Kade Scott rushed for four touchdowns and completed a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Henbest.  Scott rushed for 214 yards, passed for 76 yards and had 76 receiving yards.

Trace Baker scored a rushing touchdown. Quarterback Braden Colglazier completed 11 passes for 120 yards. The Tigers gained 470 yards, but committed three turnovers.

 Adam Hands intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble. Kade Scott intercepted a pass.

Weskan (6-2) advances to the Wild West Bowl against Golden Plains Nov. 10 at Dodge City. The Tigers (8-2) will play for third place at Dodge City. 

GOLDEN PLAINS 71, ASHLAND 46 — Golden Plains' Nolan Ritter scored six touchdowns, three in each half to spark a 71-46 victory over 6-Man South champion Ashland. Weskan defeated Golden Plains 52-46 during the regular season.

Quarterback Dylan Spresser threw for three touchdowns and scored two rushing touchdowns with 134 yards. Caleb Korte scored two rushing touchdowns. Ritter returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and gained 143 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
