OSBORNE — The Hoisington High School wrestling team went to the Osborne Invitational as defending tournament champions.
With only six members of last year’s team, the Cardinals was one point from tying for first place.
Hoisington finished with 148.5 points, trailing Phillipsburg, which had 149.5 points.
The Cardinals were led by Brandon Ball, who not only finished in first place in the 132-pound weight class by winning all of his matches. He won each match by a pin in less than one minute.
Avery Urban also took first place, competing in the 195 weight class.
