ELLSWORTH— Central Plains brought a big broom over the weekend as the Oilers posted a five-match sweep to claim the Ellsworth Tournament title.

The final two matches had the Oilers facing Nickerson then host team Ellsworth. Central Plains glided to a 25-18, 25-5 win over the Panthers. That set up the match with Ellsworth. The Oilers posted a 25-9 house cleaning against EHS but battled their way to a hard fought 26-24 victory in the closing set.
