The certified public accounting firm of Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball Chartered participated in an annual intern community service day on July 13. This year, the group volunteered in Hutchinson.
“We truly enjoy getting involved and giving back to the communities we serve,” said Brian Staats, CPA, CGMA, managing partner at Adams, Brown Beran & Ball. “Intern community service day showcases and instills in our interns the commitment we have to our communities.”
Six interns, Matthew Bruner, Elpidio Cortez, Emily Fuller, Hannah Howard, Jordan Rohr and Rose Yoder, from various firm office locations, participated in the community service event. Throughout the day, they assisted the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson and United Way of Reno County with general yard work, ranging from painting, pulling weeds, landscaping and cleaning guttering.
In 2017, the firm will employ a total of 12 interns and three student workers who hail from 13 Kansas communities, including Claflin, Derby, Ellis, Great Bend, Hays, Hutchinson, Inman, Leoti, McPherson, Miltonvale, Oakley, Ulysses and WaKeeney, as well as Bellefontaine, Ohio, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
