David and Karla Gonzales of Achieve Rehab in Great Bend attended the 34th Annual meeting of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) in Nashville, Tenn. on Sept. 22-25th. The ASHT 34th Annual Meeting meets the needs of hand therapists, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, other healthcare providers, students, educators, and researchers specializing in hand therapy. David is an occupational therapist (OT) and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and member of the ASHT. Karla is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Achieve Rehab is centered on rehab of painful conditions of the shoulder, elbow and hand. After surgery rehab, sprains, sports injuries, tendonitis, arthritis or any rehab needed for the upper extremity is the core of what Achieve Rehab provides. By attending the conference, the staff at Achieve Rehab can update their skills with new scientific and clinical information relevant to hand to shoulder injury, surgery and rehab. Cutting edge advances in clinical treatment and science were discussed throughout the 3 day conference in Nashville.
