A new A&W Restaurant is opening in Great Bend. The location is at 3800 10th Street just across the street from Wal-Mart. The current Long John Silver’s restaurant is being redesigned to now include an A&W. The A&W will be opening the first part of December, and have a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony with Manager Vera Conley and Team A&W/LJS.
The Great Bend A&W will be the 16th A&W in Kansas. Kansas native, owner Eric Estes with Estes Enterprises Inc. is excited to be growing the A&W Brand in Great Bend. Estes stated, “Great Bend has been an amazing community to be a part of with our iconic Long John Silver’s concept and we are excited to announce our bringing the heritage A&W brand back to town! So here’s to Papa Burgers, Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders, Root Beer and Root Beer Floats in frosty mugs all around!!!”
