Clara Barton Medical Center is excited to expand its pediatric care services with the addition of Pediatrician Dr. Mercedes Ryan to their esteemed team of clinicians.
Originally from Larned, Mercedes Ryan, MD, FAAP, completed her undergraduate studies at Barton Community College and Wichita State University before attending the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Salina. Dr. Ryan completed her residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Thrilled to join the Clara Barton team, she is eager to practice in a community-oriented environment. “Being able to work alongside families to ensure children grow up healthy and happy is incredibly rewarding,” said Dr. Ryan. “I enjoy being part of the good times and an advocate during the hard times.”
Dr. Ryan’s expertise and dedication to pediatrics are evident in her compassionate approach to patient care. Her comprehensive knowledge of pediatric medicine allows her to provide personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
In addition to her medical expertise, Dr. Ryan emphasizes the importance of cherishing every moment with children. “The days can be long, but the years go by so fast. Try to treasure every moment, even the hard ones,” she advises her patients’ parents.
Dr. Ryan, her husband Jacob, and their four young boys are excited to become part of the community.
The family loves outdoor activities and actively participates in various sports, cheering on their children at every event. “We enjoy staying involved with community and school events,” she added.
