Charter Funerals is pleased to announce the addition of a new Managing Funeral Director at their Great Bend location. Terry Lewis has recently moved to Great Bend from Nebraska and has assumed the duties of managing the day-to-day operations of their facility here.
Terry, an Iowa native, has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over thirty years. He graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis, Ind. in 1979, and practiced in Iowa for a number of years before moving to Nebraska. In 1995 he purchased his own funeral business in York, Nebraska, which he operated for nearly ten years.
Terry has been active in many civic organizations throughout his career, and looks forward to getting involved in Great Bend. “My wife, Becky, and I are excited about being a part of Great Bend and the surrounding area. We see that Great Bend has a lot to offer, and we look forward to being a part of this fine community.” Terry and Becky have six grown children between them, and three grandchildren, with another grandchild due next spring.
Terry believes in the small-town values he learned growing up in a small Iowa town with a population of 367 people. He is very dedicated to personal service, and to tailoring each and every funeral to reflect each unique individual life. To that end he has dedicated his professional career to providing the quality service and attention to detail that every family deserves.
