Advanced Therapy & Sports Medicine, located at 3715 10th St. in Great Bend, announced a new service in the community for individuals interested in weight loss.
“We have recently teamed with Preventive Medicine Center of McPherson and Salina to provide a medically supervised, evidence-based program for rapid, comfortable and sustaining weight loss,” said Teresa Malone at Advanced Therapy. “The focus is on the prevention of disease and the promotion of health.”
The Clinical Director is Greg Lindholm, PA, MPH, a Great Bend native with 10 years of experience in the field of preventive medicine.
“Because the program is supervised by health care providers, we can more safely assist people with aggressive weight loss and lifestyle change, all while closely monitoring their health along the way,” Lindholm said. “Many of our patients have diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. But we’re also happy to work with people who just want to be sure they are healthy and want to prevent the chances of chronic health problems.”
What clients can expect:
• Focus on developing healthy lifestyle changes that will allow you to achieve and maintain optimal health.
• Professional staff including M.Ds, P.As, ARNPs and Registered Dieticians with advanced training in weight loss programs, working closely with your family physician.
• Fitness Assessment and Wellness Programs will be established for each individual by Advanced Therapy. Fitness programs are specific to each individual’s fitness levels and monitored and advanced with the success toward optimal health.
In many cases, a person’s health insurance will cover the cost of the visits to the clinic.
