Great Bend Desk & Derrick will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, at Bentley & Associates on South Patton Road for their monthly meeting. Guest speaker will be Tommy Duncan with Jacam Chemicals. Duncan with 33 years of experience as a Senior Corrosion Specialist will explain the various methods used to prevent pipeline corrosion. Following the program, president Wendy Brackeen will report on the regional meeting hosted by the Bartlesville, Okla. club. The three day convention consists of seminars, field trips, awards and business meetings. Region VI Director, Sharon Hiss of the Great Bend club will conduct the business sessions where delegates from eleven Desk & Derrick clubs located in Kansas and Oklahoma will vote on matters pertaining to the organizations’ operations for the next year.
