Farm Bureau seeks Century Farm or Sesquicentennial Farm Families
Kansas Farm Bureau
Kansas Farm Bureau

Kansas Farm Bureau along with Barton County Farm Bureau recognizes that tradition and heritage are a part of what makes agriculture an attractive way of life for Kansas residents. The history of these farms and ranches is rich, with many stories to tell. In that spirit Kansas Farm Bureau, the state’s leading agriculture advocacy organization and Barton County Farm Bureau honors those family farms that have maintained ownership within the same family for 100 or 150 years with at least 80 acres of the original Kansas farmland.

Farm owners who believe that they qualify for the recognition fill out an application that is sent to Kansas Farm Bureau for verification and confirmation that the farm is eligible for the honor. It is no cost to the landowner. In Barton County, applicants do not need to be Farm Bureau members, the Association will pay the dues for a year’s membership.

Please contact the Barton County Farm Bureau office at 620-617-6666 or bartonfb@kfb.org for more information or an application. The deadline for submitting applications is May 15.
