Kenneth Friedel, Wichita, has been named the new Senior Vice-President & Director of Corporate Strategies for American State Bancshares, Inc. The position involves strategic planning, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, process improvements and special projects.
Friedel will have an office in Wichita. He graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in general business administration from Kansas State University in Manhattan. He has also completed advance studies with the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colo. In addition, Friedel is a certified master facilitator (CMF) and certified professional facilitator (CPF). Most recently, he was a consultant/manager in the Financial Institutions Group with Kennedy and Coe, LLC.
“As we continue grow, I intend to be a resource for the CEO, directors and bank managers to further promote community banking opportunities in Kansas ,” Friedel said.
