When Dannie’ll Heaton worked at a church in Russell, she saw first-hand how Office Products Inc. provides customer service. She liked what she saw and now is an OPI sales representative at the company’s Russell location.
“I had the privilege of seeing OPI from a customer’s point of view when I worked at Trinity United Methodist,” said Heaton, a Russell native. “I was impressed; the service is exceptional.
“Now my priority is continuing to give our customers the personal touch,” Heaton said. “I call on current and prospective customers to see if they need office supplies, furniture, equipment or machines.”
Heaton’s territory includes Russell, Lucas, Luray, Waldo and Wilson in Russell County, as well as Ellsworth and Kanopolis in Ellsworth County.
“It is gratifying to be involved in business relationships on behalf of OPI,” Heaton commented. “It is family owned and operated, and they are family friendly with their employees too.”
Heaton was employed at the church as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper for five years. Her background also includes a few years as assistant manager of Casey’s in Russell.
She is a 1997 graduate of Russell High School, as well as a 2005 Fort Hays State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in history.
Heaton has two children – Logan, 1, and Austin, 6.
Jim Grabbe, OPI sales manager, said he and the rest of the OPI staff are pleased to have Heaton on board.
“Danni brings a real family-type approach to her new position,” Grabbe said. “It is especially nice that she was born and raised in Russell and continues to make it her home.”
The Russell store is located at 724 N. Main. Other OPI locations are 1204 Main in Great Bend and 516 Broadway in Larned.
