Carrie Hildebrand, Physical Therapist with Progressive Therapy & Sports Medicine in Larned and Advanced Therapy & Sports Medicine in Great Bend, recently completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (Evidence In Motion Institute Of Health Professions).
Hildebrand received her Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University, Manhattan, in 1996. She then obtained her Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City in 1998. She has worked at Advanced Physical Therapy since her graduation working in both the Larned and Great Bend clinics.
She also pursued an advanced certification in Therapeutic Pain Science, which includes the treatment of chronic pain. Current best evidence has shown that understanding how a nervous system in chronic pain behaves will result in reduced pain, increased function, reduced fear, improved movement and changed thought patterns during pain experiences. The goal is to reduce the threat value of pain to allow patients to return to the activities they enjoy.
Carrie and her husband Jason have lived in Stafford since moving back to farm in 1998. Together, they are raising five teenagers and making the transition to the college scene. They enjoy being outdoors, game nights, and making music as a family.
