Today, Lee Borck, President & Chairman of ILS announced, “Ag Systems, Inc. of Larned became a wholly owned subsidiary of ILS effective Oct. 1st. We are delighted that Don and Kent Schoonover have agreed to stay a part of this company as business partners and as shareholders of ILS. Barry Vratil has returned to Larned to manage the day-to-day operations and will report to Jerry Kuckelman, Chief Operating Officer of ILS. Our goal is to make this transition seamless for all current Ag Systems customers by continuing to provide the same high quality service and products they have received in the past.” Don and Kent Schoonover commented, “ILS provided Ag Systems an opportunity to retain our customer base and jobs for our employees as we begin to make plans for our retirement. Knowing that the future of Ag Systems will remain with capable local business people was extremely important to us. We truly hope the irrigation community will appreciate the wisdom of our decision to partner with ILS for long-term sustainability of these Ag services in central Kansas.”
