TOPEKA – In an effort to address community needs statewide, the Kansas Volunteer Commission has re-opened the 2015-2016 application process for potential AmeriCorps Kansas programs.
Non-profit organizations, state agencies, local governments, elementary and secondary schools, Indian tribes, colleges and universities, community and faith-based organizations, and other organizations representing a combination of these groups, working together, may apply for federal funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service. Funds are administered by the Kansas Volunteer Commission and are available in the form of AmeriCorps Kansas program grants that follow a cost-reimbursement structure.
The deadline for submitting the required notice of intent to apply is 4 p.m. on March 20. The deadline for submitting a grant application and supporting documents is 4 p.m. Mach 26.
Successful applicants will be notified no later than May of their selection, contingent on timely full year appropriations. More information about this funding opportunity is available at www.kanserve.org.
