The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting took place Oct. 19, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.
District One — Northeast
Atchison - 2.5 miles south and 0.5 mile east of Atchison, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, WCI Inc., Paola, $433,271.70.
Johnson - I-435, from 0.5 mile east of the I-435 and Quivira Road junction east to the I-435 bridges over Metcalf Avenue, pavement reconstruction, 2.5 miles, Clarkson Construction Company, Kansas City, Mo., $16,337,094.28.
