KVMA officers installed at June conference

The Kansas Veterinary Medical Association (KYMA) installed its 2011-2012 officers during the KVMA onnual meeting at the recent June Conference for Veterinarians at the K-State Student Union in Manhattan.

Dr. Mike Malone, Great Bend, is KVMA president for 2011-2012. Dr. Malone graduated from K-State with a DVM degree in 1979. He has practiced veterinary medicine and served as the local zoo veterinarian in Great Bend since that time. He has served the KVMA as district and alternate district trustee, and as a member of the KYMA Public Relations Committee. Dr. Malone has been on the Great Bend School Board and is active in the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, Barton County Health Department Board, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Dr. Malone and his wife, Teresa, have been married 37 years and have three grown children.
