LARNED — The Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility announced its Outstanding Employees of the First Quarter for 2021: Uniformed Employee of the Quarter, Joshua Ebeling, Corrections Supervisor I; Non-Uniformed Employee, Pauline Hampton, Administrative Assistant; and Contract Employee, Amy Friar, Medical Records Clerk.

Ebeling began his career with LCMHF in April of 2013 as a Corrections Officer I. He promoted to Corrections Supervisor I in December of 2017.

His nomination reads, “Ebeling’s professional attitude and pleasant demeanor make him a great choice for Central Control. He is at times, the first employee that visitors interact with upon entering the facility, and we can be confident that he leaves a wonderful impression.”

Ebling is an asset to both LCMHF and the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Administrative Assistant Pauline Hampton began her career with LCMHF in January of 2016. She transferred to LCMHF from the Larned State Hospital where her longtime state service began in June of 1979.

Her nomination reads, “Pauline is a dedicated and loyal state employee with over 30 years of service. She currently works in the Policy and Information Department but is a tremendous asset to the facility. She has accepted many tasks outside of her normal job responsibilities and has done so willingly and with a positive attitude. Pauline accepts the additional workload gracefully with the ability to shift focus and priorities as needed to best meet the needs of the facility.”

She exemplifies the word teamwork and LCMHF is very fortunate to have a staff member that works as hard as she does.

Amy Friar began working with LCMHF’s health-care provider in September of 2020 as the Medical Records Clerk.

Her nomination reads, “Amy has been a phenomenal addition to our team. She has a positive attitude and is ready to help out with whatever is needed. Her personality and work ethic make her enjoyable to work with. Amy helps in making a stressful work environment more bearable, with her energy and lightheartedness.”

Friar is a great asset to both Centurion and LCMHF.
