LCMHF hosts retirement reception for June Loomis

LARNED – With hugs, speeches, and a few tears, June Loomis was honored Thursday at a retirement reception for her 31 years of dedicated and loyal service to the State of Kansas and the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility.

Loomis began her career at the Larned State Hospital as an office assistant in May of 1988. She promoted to office assistant IV in May of 1989, and to office specialist in January 1992.  

Her position was reallocated to accountant I in 1994.  She promoted to accountant II at LCMHF August of 1999 and was reallocated to accountant III in 2001. She promoted to her current position of business manager in May of 2017.

Warden Don Langford presented June with a plaque in appreciation for her years of service. “The facility is losing a wealth of knowledge and experience. Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility thanks June for her service and contributions to the facility and wish her a happy and healthy retirement,” Langford said.
