NEWTON – October 17, 2001 marks an important anniversary for LifeTeam, a regional air medical transport company. The inaugural transport by LifeTeam originated in Liberal, the first of LifeTeam’s eight bases. The company chose to celebrate its 10th anniversary with an open house Friday at its headquarters in Newton.LifeTeam partners with hospitals, EMS agencies, fire departments throughout the Midwest and all were invited to join LifeTeam employees in honoring a decade of service.LifeTeam includes fixed wing, rotor wing, ground ambulances, state-of-the-art communication center, in-house maintenance facility and patient billing division.
