Nakita Fischer

Danceography announces their latest additions to their studio, Nikita Fischer and Sarah Burkhead.
“I am very excited to have Miss Nakita on for the competition training side of our studio. She and I danced together in college and bringing her on to help at the studio will be a great addition to our dance family,” said studio owner and instructor, Laura Klima.
Nakita Fischer was born and raised in Great Bend. She began dancing at the age of five and was involved in many activities as a child and throughout elementary school into college. Starting with dance classes through the years until college, being a part of Argonne All-Stars from Middle School until her senior year of High School, being an assistant at Dance by Design, member of GBHS Varsity Cheerleading squad for three years and dancing as a member of Barton Community College Dance Line. Nakita went on to graduate as an RN from Barton Community College and earn her BSN through Wichita State University. She has been employed at Great Bend Regional Hospital full time for the last six years. Nakita has two children, Kacen, 3 and Mila, 6 months and will soon be getting married this October to Rodrigo (Kino) Adame.
Laura Klima, is “happy to have life-long friend Sarah Burkhead joining the team as a fitness and nutrition goo-roo. She has an extended background in these two areas and will bring a lot to women as she is going to teach a six week slim down that begins Aug. 23rd.”
Sarah is a stay-at-home mom and Premier Designs Jeweler. She has been married to Stephen for three years and they have a daughter, Rachael, who is almost a year old. Finding healthy recipes, for her family to try, has been an adventure and she stays up to date on the latest, best and most efficient workouts possible. “I personally don’t think you need a gym to stay or get fit; all you really need is you!” said Sarah. She has her B.A. from Washburn University in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Sarah chose to earn her degree in that specific field because she has always been active and made her health and fitness a priority, not just because it’s important, but because it is fun! “I love helping others reach their own personal goals and helping them feel good! I have been creating one-on-one nutrition and workout plans off and on ever since I graduated, but this will be my first time teaching an exercise class! However, I have attended many classes and I did co-teach some exercise classes while I was in college and thought it was a lot of fun! My weekly intention for this class is to get in a hard workout in a short amount of time and create weekly goals for the group, while also teaching at home nutrition/fitness tips and tricks. I’m super excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to begin this new journey”, Burkhead states.
“We are excited to continue to expand our studio dancers, competition dancers as well as bring in more of the community to Danceography through fitness classes,” Klima states. “We thank Great Bend and all the surrounding communities for growing with us and we look forward to reaching more of you weekly!”
