Desk and Derrick members travel to St. Louis

Great Bend Desk & Derrick members traveled to St. Louis, Mo. to attend the 60th annual Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs convention. ADDC President Angie Duplessis invited members to “Meet in St Louis” with her theme--”Gateway to Growth and Opportunity”. Business meetings were held at the Hyatt Riverfront Hotel just across the street from the Arch and a few blocks away from the Cardinals stadium. The city of St. Louis offered many world famous attractions, amusements, restaurants and shopping for club members to enjoy while furthering their education with field trips and seminars pertaining to the energy industry. There were 64 Desk and Derrick clubs located throughout the United States and Canada represented at this annual meeting where officers for 2012 were elected. Oklahoma City, OK will be the site of the 61st convention to be held in September next year. The Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs is an international energy educational organization whose motto is “Greater Knowledge-Greater Service” and the Great Bend club is proud to be affiliated with such an outstanding group of educators.
