Molly O. Rondeau

The law firm of Watkins Calcara, Chtd. in Great Bend announced Molly O. Rondeau has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Rondeau grew up in Great Bend and attended Great Bend High School where she was active in sports and theater. She graduated in 2010 and attended Washburn University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she taught 4th and 5th grade in the Seaman School District in North Topeka for two and a half years.

Looking for additional challenges, Rondeau left teaching and was admitted to Washburn University School of Law in Topeka. During law school, she worked for the Kansas Association of School Boards and the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability and served as the Student Bar Association’s Vice President. She also represented Washburn on its interscholastic Trial Team. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2020 and was admitted to the bar on Sept. 24, 2020 when she and her fiancé were sworn in by District Judge Mike Keeley.

At Watkins Calcara, Rondeau looks forward to putting into practice the lessons learned as a teacher and a student. At present, she intends to focus on estate planning, trust formation, property law, contract law, and business planning.

Rondeau and her fiancé, Spencer Bailly, met at Washburn Law and hope to marry this spring. They look forward to building their future together in Great Bend, she said. “Moving back to Great Bend has helped me realize how many wonderful opportunities are available to young professionals, here and in the surrounding areas. I am thrilled to be back home and I can’t wait to give back to the community that helped raise me.”
