The public is invited to a Great Bend Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center, the new name for Central Kansas Medical Center.
The event is set for 3 p.m. Monday, May 16, in the main lobby. Refreshments will be served.
"We encourage the community to attend the ribbon cutting and learn more about St. Rose," said Mark Mingenback, executive director of business strategy and marketing. "There are quite a number of exciting changes and we want to share this information with local and area residents."
For example, Mingenback said, the new comprehensive urgent care center is available 24 hours a day and is always staffed by one of five emergency-medicine physicians and experienced registered nurses; the Women’s Health Center is expanding; and Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice and the Sleep Center will be expanding soon.
"These are just a few examples of the changes we are making in response to patients’ needs," Mingenback said. "There will be many more in the months to come."
The grand opening will be scheduled for later this year.
