Sunflower Bank raised $102,500 during its 2016 ABC campaign developed to support education in our communities. Over $7,450 of the total is being donated to schools and students in Great Bend and Ellinwood. The program began in 2001 and has generated over $1,036,700 throughout the past 15 years for schools and students in Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri.
“We made a commitment to support education through our ABC program 15 years ago and we are proud of the success it has generated,” said Becca Maxwell, Vice President of Great Bend/Ellinwood Sunflower Bank. “We know the program’s success translates to increased resources for our schools and the funds raised will support many important initiatives. We are honored to create possibility for youth within our communities through education.”
Beginning January 1 through March 31, new and current customers raised money for their K-12 school of choice by opening a checking account or swiping their debit card. Students scored with $10 for every “A” on their report card if their name was one of five drawn at every branch.
Sunflower Bank plans to bring the ABC Program back for a 16th year in 2017. Visit your local Sunflower Bank branch or SunflowerBank.com to learn more about Sunflower Bank’s efforts to support the communities it serves.
