Watkins Calcara Chtd., a Great Bend law firm, announces the recent employment of Travis Ternes as an associate of the firm.
Ternes earned bachelor’s degrees in criminology and communications from Kansas State University in 2011. After graduating from Kansas State, he worked for J. Fred Hambright Inc. as a landman. In 2013, Ternes chose to attend Washburn University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctorate degree in May 2016. He passed the Kansas bar examination last July and has been admitted to practice before both the state and federal courts in Kansas.
While at Washburn, Ternes was an active member of Washburn Law Journal and several organizations. He received certificates in business and transactional law, oil and gas law, and natural resources law.
