Noting that every industry has been impacted by supply chain issues, Great Bend landscape designer Kelly Moeder decided to get creative and get her hands dirty to grow her own product, instead of continuing to look to outside suppliers offering limited stock and lack of unique plants and color she desired. Moeder, owner of Kelly’s Garden Sense, is planting roots here at home to solve this issue.

Her business added a greenhouse in the summer 2021 and they are now growing their own product.

“We now have over 6,000 plants in pots,” Moeder said. “Come this spring season, we won’t face the same limited stock on the unique plants we use for our pottery and landscape design. We will continue to offer clients, both residential and commercial, something unique that stands out from the crowd.”

With the combination of Kansas-grown plants and unique landscape and pottery designs built for the Kansas heat, Kelly’s Garden Sense will continue to serve commercial and residential clients in and around the Barton County area. Only now, their greenhouse to your door business will feature even more unique and locally grown products.

“This is a huge dream realized for me personally and professionally!” she said. “Our goal is to have better, bigger, and more available products than we could buy in previous years. The plants are coming along and will bring our signature pop of color year-round.”
