Volunteer opportunities offered at Great Bend Regional Hospital

Great Bend Regional Hospital is developing a volunteer program to further enhance the focus on its patients. GBRH is seeking volunteers to help in various departments throughout the hospital. They will provide a variety of services that support the medical and non-medical needs of the patients and their families.
GHRH Administrator Pam Chambers said volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in escorting patients, serve as host in the family waiting rooms, provide a helping hand in the cafeteria, and offer a calming conversation or a warm smile.
“We feel that the volunteer program will complement the professional services in both patient care and support service areas,” Chambers said. “Volunteers can be the one to brighten a person’s day and in return have theirs brightened.
“This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, retirees or anyone that can spare a few hours to help hospital patients, their families, and visitors. If you or someone you know would be interested in this type of volunteering opportunities at Great Bend Regional Hospital, please call 620-791-6280.”
