Barton County reported three new positive cases of COVID-19 at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, bringing the total to 157 — 72 males and 85 females. The new cases were all females, two living in Great Bend and one in Hoisington.
To date, the county has issued 1,340 quarantine/isolation orders and 306 of those are active. There are 47 active cases and there have been three deaths.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment reports there have been 32,547 confirmed and probable cases statewide, resulting in 395 deaths, as of Wednesday. This was an increase of 817 new cases and eight new deaths from Monday.
There have been 1,975 hospitalizations and 302,016 negative tests.
Case rates by county range from 0 to 65.2 per 1,000 residents. There have been no confirmed cases in Rawlings and Wallace counties; Ford County has had 2,191 cases. The case rate per 1,000 for area counties is: Barton, 5.0; Stafford, 1.0; Pawnee, 1.4; Rush, 3.3; Ellis, 5.5; Russell, 2.8; Ellsworth, 3.4; Rice, 4.0 and Reno, 5.8.
