The Barton County Commission and the Great Bend City Council have decided to postpone their planned joint meeting that was set for 6 p.m. Monday at the Great Bend Front Door facility. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

The move was made “out of an abundance of caution,” City Administrator Kendal Francis said. It was to have be a work session to promote unity between the two governing bodies.

The commission will still hold its regular agenda meeting which will take place at 9 a.m. Monday morning at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend.
