Another Barton County resident’s death has been attributed to COVID-19, County Administrator Phil Hathcock reported Tuesday morning. Barton County has identified 98 cases since last Friday, bringing the total number of positive cases this year to 1,303 and the total number of deaths to 13.
There are 307 active cases.
The county has issued 5,330 quarantine or isolation orders and, as of 9 a.m. Tuesday, 757 of those were active.
The new cases include 46 males and 52 females. Two reside in Claflin, 15 in Ellinwood, 65 in Great Bend, six in Hoisington, one in Olmitz, one in Pawnee Rock and eight in rural Barton County.
