The Barton County Health Department conducted a drive-through clinic Thursday for COVID-19 vaccinations and influenza vaccinations. BCHD Director Karen Winkelman said 90 COVID vaccine doses were administered:
• Moderna - 1 first dose, 4 second doses and 60 third doses; total 65
• Pfizer - 4 first doses, 2 second doses and 7 third doses; total 13
• Pfizer Pediatric - 8 first doses and 2 second doses; total 10
• J&J - 0 first doses and 2 second doses; total 2.
In addition to COVID vaccine, 26 doses of influenza vaccine were administered to people of all ages, starting as young as 6 months.
“This drive-through event was again made possible with collaboration from our county family, community partners and family members,” Winkelman said. “Both influenza and COVID vaccine continue to be available at the Barton County Health Department on a walk-in basis during operational hours.”
