Hoisington Public Library will temporarily close its doors effective March 21.  UPDATE: The Hoisington Public Library is closing at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 20, until further notice due to novel coronavirus outbreak. No curbside service will be provided at the recommendation of the Central Kansas Library System.

No book returns will be accepted through the book drop. We have No fines for overdues so that will not be an issue. Please return your material when we reopen.

We will be offering curbside service. Call 620-653-4128 or email library@hoisingtonks.org. There will be a cart outside the front doors of the library with your name on the books.

No patrons will be allowed inside the library.

Our Wi-Fi is still working and feel free to sit outside the front doors in your vehicle and use it.

Hoopla, our digital ebook, audio book, and movie service, is very easy to setup and use if you have Internet at home.

To set up Hoopla: Download the app from hoopladigital.com.  You will register with your library card number. Please call the library for your pin. The set up for Hoopla is very easy for most so please call if you have problems.

If you have an older card or use our other online services, you will also need to call because the setup on our end has changed from a few years ago.

To see the card catalog online, search http://catalog.ckls.org. At this time, interlibrary loan has been shut down, so ordering through the Internet has also been shut down. However, you can search through books to see availability in Hoisington.

Also, the Kansas State Library website https://kslib.info/ has an amazing number of free digital collections. It has an amazing selection of genealogy information as well as digital books for kids and courses for adults. If you ever wanted to learn another language, this is your chance.
