Latest COVID-19 statistics reported

Here are the latest reported COVID-19 incidents related to Great Bend USD 428, as posted on the district website.

• Thursday, Nov. 12, a staff member at Riley Elementary tested positive; no additional quarantine orders expected.

• Thursday, a staff member at Eisenhower Elementary tested positive; three student and two staff quarantine orders expected.

• Friday, a staff member at Great Bend High School tested positive; no additional quarantines expected.


Statewide

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reports that as of 9 a.m. Friday, there have been 115,507 cases, resulting in 4,327 hospitalizations and 1,256 statewide deaths. There we 6,282 new cases, 41 new deaths and 75 new hospitalizations reported since Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The KDHE hospitalization summary also shows one more person has been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Barton County. Based on previous reports, this appears to be someone in the 65-74 years age category.
