The Kansas Department of Health and Transportation released its latest COVID-19 data on Wednesday, Sept. 7. As of 9 a.m., there were 4,550 new cases and eight new deaths reported statewide since Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Most area counties continued to show a “high” weekly incidence rate, meaning 100 or more cases per 100,000 people. Pawnee and Rice counties had a “substantial” rate of 50-99 cases per 100,000.
Here is the weekly new case rate for area counties for the period starting Aug. 27 and ending Sept. 2. The most recent five days are not included as data is expected to be incomplete.
