Bernice Koch will celebrate her 98th birthday on March 16 with a card shower.
Bernice was born on March 16, 1914, in Alden. She married Harry Koch. He died on April 3, 1994. A resident of Ellinwood, she was a secretary/insurance agent for Farmers Mutual Insurance, a housewife and a mother. She has five children, Marvin Koch of Ellinwood, Barbara Hoar and Ron Koch, both of Great Bend, Gloria Roberts of Hutchinson and Twila Bartels of Olathe. Her son, Fred Koch, passed away in 1999. She has been blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
