Harold (Doc) Stone of Ellinwood will celebrate his 90th birthday with a card shower. He was born on Feb. 19, 1922, to Joshua and Georgia Stone in Cedar Vale. He served during World War II as a captain in the 7th Station Hospital as a dental officer. In August 1949 he came to Ellinwood to begin his dental practice. On June 22, 1953, he married Mary Lois Malone in Ellinwood. He retired from his dental practice in 1988. His children are Taylor and Yvonne Stone of Wichita, and Carol and Tim of Aurora, Colo. He has three grandchildren, Jessalyn, Garrett, and Hunter of Wichita.
Harold has been active in the community with the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Mason Lodge, Shrine Lodge, and the Rotary Club.
