Lillian Hoffhaus will celebrate her 90th birthday from 1 to 3 p.m. today with a reception at The Front Door, 1615 10th Street. Hosts for the event will be her daughter Karen Cartlidge and husband Mike of Yukon, Okla., grandchildren John and Kayla Cartlidge of Winfield, Jennifer Cartlidge of Overland Park and Matthew and Stacia Cartlidge of Lincoln, Neb.; great-granddaughters Aubrey and Alivia Cartlidge of Winfield; and nephew Dr. Steven Walts of Manassas, Va.
Lillian was born on Oct. 4, 1920 in Albert. She married John F. Hoffhaus. He died in 1991. She was employed by Sears as the shoe department manager, where she retired in 1980.
