Lowell Sohm will celebrate his 85th birthday on Jan. 18, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Hall in Otis. Hosts for the event will be his children, Ronda and David Ranker of Hays, Steve and Evelyn Sohm of Otis, Susan and Ron Mohr of Wilmington, N.C., Diane Rexwinkle of Great Bend, and Mike Sohm of Otis.
Lowell was born on Jan. 18, 1930, in Otis. He married Lois J. Sohm. She died in April 2004. He is a retired rural route mail carrier.
