Mayette Keith was born on March 10, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo. She was married to Malcolm S. Keith. He died in 1997. A resident of Hoisington since 1945, she is a homemaker, mother and a grandmother. She was employed by Land Goddard Chevrolet in Kansas City, Mo. and Joe Piper Insurance in Hoisington before retiring. She has two daughters, Debbie and Duane Reif of Hoisington and Karen and Matt Schwartz of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren, Sarah and Mark Bricker, Shane Reif, Adam Schwartz, Haley and Dan Fritz, Katie Schwartz, and Dana and Melissa Schwartz; and two great-grandchildren, Kayley Bricker and Pepin Schwartz.
