Ruth (Shook Pound) Hoard will celebrate her 85th birthday with a surprise birthday party from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 26 at the First Presbyterian Church at 24th and Washington in Great Bend. No gifts are requested.
Ruth was born on June 29 in Victoria. She now lives in Tucson, Ariz. where she volunteers and UMC and loves to garden.
