Tom Van Brimmer will celebrate his 80th birthday from 2 to 5 p.m. on July 6, with a Come and Go reception at 552 ½ Clay Street in Hoisington.  
Tom was born July 6, 1934, in Hoisington. On Feb. 13, 1993, he married Karen Jones. He has two sons, Bradley of Kansas City, Mo. and Clayton of Hoisington; two daughters, Brenda (Tim) Lancaster of Overland Park and Robin Strandberg of Hoisington; and a step-son Bill (Val) Jones of Parker, Colo; and 11 grandchildren, Tate and Hope Lancaster; Austin, Zander, Grayson and Autumn Strandberg; Ellie, Trae and Tommy Van Brimmer; and Madison and Cody Jones.
