William M. Wolf of Great Bend celebrated his 80th birthday on Sept. 24. A celebration is planned for a later date.
William M. Wolf was born on Sept. 24, 1935, in Siloam Springs, Alaska to Roy and Helen (Brown) Wolf. He attended high school at Will Rogers in Tulsa, Okla. He attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. and the University of Texas A&M at College Station, Texas. He worked for 40 years as a sales representative in the oilfield before retiring. On June 16, 1956, he married Peggy Ferguson in Tulsa, Okla. He and his wife have two children, Diane Kissiar of Colorado and Greg Wolf and wife Donita of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Sarah, Keisha, Whitney, Ryan and Ian; and 11 great-grandchildren. He has a sister, Jo Wolf of Oklahoma City, Okla. and a brother, Henry Wolf of Chester, Ill.
