Sonya Hammonds announces the engagement of her daughter, Brooke Maw Hammonds, to Dex Edward Simonis, son of Cheryl Simonis of Council Grove. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bob and Geri Lee Hammonds.
The bride-elect is the owner-operator of Classy Cuts Salon.
The prospective groom is employed by Hautman Masonry as a bricklayer.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 21 in Council Grove.
