Mike and Pamela Kurtz of Maize announce the engagement of their daughter Katilyn Michelle Kurtz to Daniel Scott Slaton son of Benjamin and Kelly Slaton of Augusta. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lahar of Great Bend and the late Arzella Lahar. Grandmothers of the prospective groom are Shirley Slaton of Alabama and Jerilyn Wiegert of Augusta.
The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Mulvane High School. In 2016 she graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor degree in Medical Diagnostic Imaging. She is employed by Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The prospective groom is a 2011 graduate of Augusta High School. In 2015 he graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree from Wichita State University. He is employed by Bombardier Flight Test Center in Wichita.
The wedding is planned for July 8 in Augusta.
