Gary and Renee Demel announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Sue McVey, to Brook Alen Childers, son of Marty Strachan and Dee Dee Ward.
The bride-elect is a 2016 graduate of Barton Community College with an Associates in Science and Nursing Degree. She is employed as a nurse at Elder Care in Great Bend.
The prospective groom is a 2016 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelors degree in Microbiology. He is employed as a microbiologist in Manhattan.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 26, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend.
